Theresa is from a strong family of culture painters and learned to paint sitting down with her grandmother listening to the Dreamtime stories and the family painting traditions. 

She went to school in Broome at Nulungu College, and then returned home to country in Balgo.

Today Theresa creates work both in Halls Creek and Balgo as she moves between communities for family business.

Her work is still strongly inspired by her grandmothers teachings, but also reflects her own personal observations of life, lore and culture.
