Troy Gordon Tjippurula

Troy Gordon Tjippurula is a senior culture man and long-time artist at Yarliyil.

Troy grew up in the community of Billiluna and paints country around Lake Stretch, north of Lake Gregory.

For Troy Lake Stretch is an important place where he grew up learning to hunt and fish to keep the family well fed with fish and other land animals.

Troy often paints culture stories that relate to the iconic Kimberley Boab Tree and men’s ceremonies. He now lives in Halls Creek but regularly travels to Billiluna for family business.

Troy is married to fellow artist; Samantha Brown and they regularly paint together in the Yarliyil studio.
