In this painting I bring to mind the depth of colour and movement that is all through the Kimberley grasslands and across the hills and planes during the wet season. 

This happens when the wind sweeps through the grasses creating waves of movement and rhythm.

This happens when the sun comes out after there has been rain and creates sparkles of colour in the droplets of water in the grasses. 

The light quality in this part of the country is unique - it throws glistening light all across the country that shifts and changes with the rise and fall of the sun.
