Towards the end of the wet season the spinifex grasses change colour from all the new growth and from the older growth becoming very wet and soaked.
As I walk through country at this time of year the light is not bright and clear as it is during the dry season - instead it is delicate dappled light that comes in and out of clouds and throws scattered shadows.
