This is my father's country - Ngaanyatjarra House Bluff near Ayers Rock in the desert. He was a Pitjantjatjara man. My father was a strong law man. He had three wives. We walked that rough country from there to Sturt Creek Station about nine hundred kilometres. My father showed us the way. 

We lived off the land. My mother she was blind from when she was a young girl, but she showed me how to live. When we got to Sturt Creek I worked at the big house. My mother, father and brother walked to Gordon Down Station, they killed my father and they never found his body.
