Wattle and Mulla Mulla appear in bright yellows and purples in the grasslands along the Tanami during the wet season.

In dreamtime stories, Mulla Mulla provides spiritual protection and is associated with fire dreaming and cleansing. 

Mulla Mulla was used for making pillows and in ceremonies. The soft branches of the plant were also used to line wooden dishes for carrying children.
