Number 2 Aboriginal Reserve was a housing estate established in the 1970's to house Halls Creek Indigenous residents. It was comprised of a handful of houses but grew into a rambling community of Humpy's and Bough Sheds.
Dallas walks through the ruins of the community often, collecting objects on his way to and from town, he has depicted these objects in the painting and used them to tell the story of 'The Book'. These objects include ring pull tabs, axe heads. guitar strings, buttons, key hole plates, dominoes and dice.
The Book is the rules, The Book has no past, The Book is now. The Book is the natural law. You don't to read The Book you read between the lines or just read the cover. The outside force causes change and free will exists. Roll the dice and take your chance.
