This is Louisa Downs Station between Halls Creek and Fitzroy Crossing where I grew up and learned to be a drover and horseman.

I am painting the country at sunrise when the colours are often very pink and the day is just beginning.

All of the animals are awake and moving around at sunrise, so when we like to be up and about gathering bush tuckers and hunting goanna and kangaroo.
