This is Louisa Downs Station between Halls Creek and Fitzroy Crossing where I grew up and learned to be a drover and horseman.

I am painting the country at sundown when the colours are often very deep and the day is coming to an end.

All of the animals are awake and moving around in the twilight, so we like to hunt goanna and kangaroo at this time.
