Garrwarri is a Jaru term for flowing water or water flowing into little creeks after rain.

I am thinking about my connection to country and how these fresh, new flowing waters that come with the wet season are reflections of how I feel spiritually and emotionally as a Jaru woman; connected to all the old people that came before me and are still part of this place. 

Like my own journey the water is both fresh and new, but also ancient. It cycles as part of life and never really leaves. 

With each changing season I experience these worlds and reflect on what they mean and what they bring. The wet season brings flowing water running over and through the rocks into creeks and rivers. This renews life and brings forth flowers, green plants, wildlife and all kinds of birth and rebirth.
