Many of our people grew up working one cattle stations - men, women, whole families. 

Men became stockmen and learned to ride horses really well, care for the cattle, fix fences, dig wells, everything.

Women would work in the homestead and homestead gardens - cleaning the house, growing vegetables, preparing meat, looking after station owners kids, pets and old people.

These days less of us are on stations, but some still are and some stations are even owned by Aboriginal people now.
